Bob Allen has been an aquarist since 1948. He presently operates a tropical fish hatchery in Salem, Utah specialzing in cichlids from Africa's Lake Tanganyika. This operation benefits from the close proximity of the Great Salt Lake which provides an abundant supply of brine shrimp and eggs for fish food. Bob has published several articles on Tanganyikan fish in Tropical Fish Hobbyist and Cichlid News. He has also been a speaker on Tanganyikan cichlids and on brine shrimp harvesting at aquarium clubs across the country.
